Susan Blank, MD, MRO, FACFE
Chief Medical Officer
Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of the Atlanta Healing Center. Dr. Susan Blank is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, she completed a residency in Psychiatry and Neurology at Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her training in Forensics at the University of Virginia, and her training in Addiction Medicine in Atlanta at the Talbott Recovery Campus. She recently completed a Fellowship and Advance Fellowship training in Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine.
Dr. Blank is President of the Georgia Society of Addiction Medicine and serves on the Advisory Board of the Georgia Physician’s Health Program. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for The Georgia Council on Alcohol and Drugs. Dr. Blank and Dr. Lori Karan co-authored the chapter on Tobacco and Nicotine Addiction for the ASAM Patient Criteria released in September 2013.
She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American Board of Forensic Examiners, a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and a Certified Medical Review Officer.

David Donaldson, CAC II
Chief Executive Officer
Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Donaldson has been apart of the Atlanta Addiction Treatment community for 2 decades. David brings 27 years of clinical experience, in both mental health and the addiction field. He has provided individual and group therapy for a diverse population to include adolescence, young adults, adults and their families. In addition has co lead specialty groups such as men and women’s psychotherapy, abuse survivors and impaired professional recovery monitoring groups.
David has worked in a variety of settings such as inpatient psychiatric treatment for adolescence, residential and intensive outpatient program for adults and young adults with the disease of addiction. Further more he has extensive experience in the area of assessment to include forensic level assessments for impaired professionals.
He participated as part of a team from the Atlanta area to develop an international model for addiction healing.
David is a recognized public speaker & educator on addiction related topics with a special interest in the dual addictions of chemical dependency and codependency.
David’s outside interest and experience include real estate & rental ownership as well as renovation and remodeling.
Michael Daly, MAA
Chief Operating Officer
Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer Michael J. Daly, holds a Masters of Architecture, with a minor in Business Administration, has been associated with the Atlanta Team since the early 1990’s and joined the team full-time in early 2011. The interior layout of our building is the direct result of his architectural experience.
Mr. Daly brings with him extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business development. He has many years of management experience, including Director of Sales for No Mas Productions, a specialty import and export business. Under Mr. Daly’s leadership, they increased their gross sales to over $2 million and expanded not only their customer base, but also expanded the business to two locations and added an award winning restaurant.
As project manager for Lockwood Green Architects and Engineers of Atlanta’s, Client-Gulf Stream of Long Beach California, he was able to double the number of employees and provided the direction to do so more effectively and efficiently within the same office space. During this time, he assisted the company in expanding the scope of the project from $250,000 to more than $ 4 million dollars.
The passion that Mr. Daly brings to the project stems from his own positive experience with the recovery community and his 25 years of sobriety. He has observed first hand, the success of the holistic approach to the treatment of addiction and is a strong supporter of the integrated model of treatment, developed and implemented by the Atlanta Team in Ontario, Canada. This strong belief, combined with his experience in sales and marketing, make him the perfect business development professional for AHC.
As a part of the AHC team, he has integrated his enthusiasm for recovery with his natural sales abilities; to assist the patients by helping them understand the advantages of extending their treatment length of stay, motivate them to become more engaged in the recovery process, thus improving their opportunity for a positive outcome. He has also trained with Professor Murray Kelly and is certified as a Tobacco Healing Specialist.
Outside interests for Mr. Daly include architectural design and urban revitalization and restoration.
Patient Access Coordinator
Usually the first voice to greet you at the Atlanta Healing Center. Ronnie Morgan has focused his career in helping organizations manage people and hours in an effective and supportive manor. In addition to the full time job of managing all of us at the Atlanta Healing Center, coordinating patient schedules, maintaining everyone’s calendars, and “other jobs as assigned”, Ronnie is working on a degree in healthcare administration with Georgia State University.
Paula Robertson, CAC II
Paula began her career in the field of Nursing in Johnson City, TN. She left nursing to stay home and raise her daughters. In the early 2000’s she discovered the world of addiction and codependency recovery when the disease closely impacted her own family.
In her journey to understand this disease she discovered a passion to help alcoholics, addicts and their families heal. She has been certified as an Addiction Counselor since 2010. Paula did her internship training at SummitRidge, Hospital in Lawrenceville, GA. and worked for a period with Rice Counseling Services. There she provided level one DUI treatment groups. She joined the Atlanta Healing Center in 2013.
Kali Mayer, BS
Kali Mayer joined the Atlanta Healing Center in March 2013 while she was completing her BS in Clinical Psychology at the University of Georgia. Kali initially assisted Dr. Grant Bright with Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback clients. Recognizing her innate skills in understanding this technology, Dr. Bright provided Kali with extensive education, training, and hands on experience in providing treatment. In addition Kali has received direct education and training from Dr. Richard Soutar and other nationally recognized trainers in the field of Neurofeedback. Kali participates in practical clinical supervision weekly as she prepares to begin her Master’s work with the University of Georgia.
Deborah NeSmith, LPN
Deborah NeSmith worked as an Administrative Coordinator for Northeast Georgia Medical Center for many years. Ready for a complete change Deb retired from Northeast Georgia and joined the A-Team (Atlanta-Team) in Bala, Ontario where she brought her a amazing organizational skills to Greenestone Recovery Center. A brand new facility offering an abstinence based, american model option for treatment in Canada.
Following her return from this adventure and a period of warming up from the cold of the Northern Terrritory Deb joined the Atlanta Healing Center to again bless us with her organizational and nursing skills.
